Biggly Bot is a private desktop app that allows readers to interact with author-approved versions of fictional characters – your fictional characters – with memory, progression, and even consequences!

And there’s Bed Mode – your readers can snuggle up with the character on their phone or tablet, privately over their home WiFi, without needing an extra app.

We are onboarding selected romance authors to create official companion editions.

What This Is (And What It Isn’t)

You can literally just point Biggly at your book and it will do most of the work for you.

How It Works

As this is a new concept we’ll directly help you to design the official interactive companion for one of your characters.

When you’ve done this once, you’ll know how to create more, as Biggly makes this pretty simple – but most people simply won’t bother to create characters as deep, rich and romantic as you can! Biggly does much of it for you, but the depth and polish is all you.

This passion to create engaging stories with real attention to detail is still your edge.

You craft your companion to reflect canon personality, tone, background and your story arc, with simple push-buttons, selectors and typing plain text – and about 80% of it is done for you by Biggly!

There is a learning curve with anything new, so for approved authors we’ll help you create your first character, from start to finish.

With Biggly there’s no coding, no config’ files, no fiddly mixing of incompatible extensions or brittle ‘workflows’. It’s just you and your creativity!

Privacy & Control

Biggly Bot runs offline by default, able to run small AI models entirely by itself, but it can also take advantage of the less-censored and more privacy-focused online AI providers*. They don’t have the same kind of guardrails as services like ChatGPT or CharacterAI.

Those providers can provide the ‘brains’, even if the reader only has an old laptop. Biggly supplies the character-creation and conversation interface – you supply the skill and creativity to make your character a compelling experience!

This is a self-contained desktop application – not a social platform.

*Note such providers charge by use, not per month, and fees are incredibly low, some models are free.

Revenue Model

We deliberately operate a traditional – but generous – partnership model, where the software, characters and books are sold as one-time, yours-to-keep products, without forced subscriptions, vendor lock-in or the general enshitification that seems so common now!

• Net Revenue is shared 50/50
• Payouts are made via Gumroad, which handles the split for us
• Biggly and Gumroad handle all hosting, delivery, and technical support

We are currently limiting onboarding to a small number of authors to ensure quality and long-term viability.

What We Look For

• Published* monster, fantasy, or dark romance authors
• Strong, well-defined characters
• An interest in innovative reader engagement
• Willingness to collaborate and learn as Biggly grows
• Duets (epub novel and character combined product) are preferred

* If you’re not a published author you can still submit a high-quality character for consideration. This is a curated program, where quality counts over quantity, so the only barrier is “Is it good enough?”

Our aim is to be THE place for interactive fiction, especially romance fantasy, with a fair 50/50 model, no subscriptions or lock-in for your books; we only ask that your interactive AI characters remain Biggly-exclusive. You’re welcome to continue selling your books elsewhere and retain full ownership of those.
